3-year EAD Cards (DACA) Should be Returned

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), has issued two separate notices to about 2,000 DACA employment authorization document (EAD) recipients.

The American Immigration Association (AILA) reports that anyone who received a 3-year EAD AFTER the court injunction date of February 16, 2015, MUST return their EAD cards to USICS. Per USCIS instruction, “USCIS must receive your EAD by 7/17/15. Failure to return the invalid EAD without good cause may affect your deferred action and employment authorization.” Mailing the document overnight may be the best idea at this moment.

Further instruction and address on how to return the EAD to USCIS can be found on the notice. If for any reason you have not received, or have lost the notice, make sure to contact USCIS to request address. USCIS can be reached at 800.375.5283.
